Seminar speaker grants

WEES annually offers competitive grants to bring exceptional seminar speakers to campus.

Workshop grants

WEES annually offers competitive grants to help fund campus-sponsored workshops as training/outreach events or for large proposal development.

Proposal Support

WEES offers limited support for developing full proposals that have passed the pre-proposal stage or are for renewals of existing successful projects, or under certain circumstances as specified on the website.

STATUS: OPEN. Requests for FY16 proposal support are now being accepted.

Faculty Hiring Support

WEES may be able to offer limited amounts of startup funds or salary to new faculty whose research is related to WEES objectives.

STATUS: OPEN. Requests are being accepted for FY2016; submit at least 15 business days before response is needed.

Cost Shares/Supplemental Student Support

Each year, WEES has limited funding available to provide student support match to bigger grant proposals (more than $250K).

STATUS: CLOSED. No further commitments for FY15 and FY16 will be made. Commitments for FY17 and beyond will be announced pending renewal of TRIF funding (expected Spring 2016). 

REN Faculty Exploratory Grants

The REN faculty exploratory grants support original and innovative projects in areas related to renewable energy that provide research and solutions to meet future energy needs.
