Harvis Saka Bamidele

Saka Harvis Bamidele is a third-year Ph.D. student in Chemical Engineering at the University of Arizona. His research focuses on biofuel and bioproducts. Currently, he is researching on improving crop production in arid and semi-arid regions like Arizona, through the application of bioproducts.  He earned his master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, where he developed biomass-derived bifunctional catalysts for biofuel production. His bachelor’s degree also in chemical engineering was from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Nigeria where he researched electro-bioremediation of soils contaminated with refinery waste effluent. He has also published several of his research in high impact journals. Before commencing his Ph.D., Saka worked as a quality control and assurance manager at a lubricant manufacturing company. Outside of his studies, Saka enjoys watching movies and listening to comedies.
